So as many... or umm... all of you know I had Gastric By-pass Weight Loss Surgery. Thus far I'm doing GREAT! Kinda... 70 pounds gone never to return... putting me at

307 lbs!!!

Why am I writing you lovely ladies... and Emma... because I need a diet buddy! I suck, I'll admit it. I'm not exersizing like I need to, and I'm not eating as well as I should or even taking my vitamins (cause they taste the way my brother's football socks smell *wrinkles nose*) like I know I need to. I need a pushy some one to check up on me...

Thus I make the following request... who wants to be a diet buddy!? We can carve out a diet/exersize plan and get us both on track. Heck maybe we can ALL do it, posting daily with what we ate and what exersize we got... or something... I dun know. *sighs* I'm babbling... but I'm only 8 pounds from my first goal of being UNDER 300 pounds. And I really need to make that goal. And I'm desperate to do it before Christmas...

Ok, I made this for a reason, so I am going to use it!

I have hit a new high in the weight department, so I have resolved to lose weight! It would be lovely to lose 50 pounds, but I doubt I am capable of that right now. So, my first goal is 20.

In order to begin meeting this goal, I resolve to do the following-

Abstain from Coke and dessert for the period of a month. At the end of this month, I may have a limited quanity of these for a week, before abstaining for another month.

Increase the amount of vegetables and fruit in my diet.

Decrease my overall intake of food.

Increase my exercise, which I have already done by enrolling in PE courses and taking an environmental internship. Beyond that, I plan to do more exercise for myself.

Post my weight on this LJ so that I cannot hide my success or failure.


At this post, I had hit 200. YEARGH!

As of 3:55pm today... I weigh 295 pounds!!!!!

I DID IT!!! I reached my goal! Under 300 lbs! I'm so thrilled!!! I cried I freaked I was just so shocked! Its so awesome! *kisses every one* Thank you all so much for supporting me. It really means a lot to me.

So for... four... maybe 5 days now I have been on the Atkins diet again... and managed not to cheat at all!! AND I've been on that fucking torcher machine we're calling the treadmill...

AND 64 oz of water minimum a DAY!!!

I've been very good...

but I can't tell you my starting weight or if I've lost anything... cause.... I have NO IDEA... our scale got broked... and now we don't have one... *sighs* thats ok though... I'm just proud of myself... I realized while I was on the mill today how despite recent termoil with my family I managed NOT to cheat and give in and up on my diet... *beams*

Hey two months ago... I would have crawled into bed... slept for three days... eaten all the fatty BS I could, and put the mill into storage.

Having my mill in my room is good though... cause I have to look on it... and even when I'm not really working out I'll jump on it for five/ten minutes here and there... PLUS my 30/45 mins a day... plus I'm being a good girl and streaching.

I haven't poasted here... though I've ment to... it just always seems to go to my regular journal. So I'm posting. Thank GOD the scale in our house broke so I don't know how my weight is doing weekly. Two weeks ago, I visited my doctor and fully clothed with shoe's on, pre menstral I was 340 pounds. (yes they're all excuses but they do make the weight go up!) I fell off the diet wagon and hadn't been drinking my water like I need, so thats bad Tali! So I'm back on portion watch and back to drinking more and more water. I'm still trying to get a gym membership.. and a job. Speaking of which mom is home time to tackle her about the car stickers! More later good news I hope! *kisses*

I've also been looking into getting my WLS and found out I can get it self pay (with air fair and room & board) for about $14,000/$15,000!! Which is excelent... except my mom is a cunt, my father is useless and all the money I could have saved and used to pay for this on my own... I gave to my family. (really I'm not bitter!) So I'm starting from scratch here... any idea's how I can get that kind of cash?! I need to find a good job *sighs* Laters!!

Because someone just posted a response to my last post here, I thought I'd add a follow-up and hopefully encourage others to update us on their own situations. So far Weight Watchers has been working for me, and I have managed to lose more than 20 pounds. Initially I was doing great, going down a solid two pounds a week, but when finals and the end of the semester hit, I stayed at the same weight for about three weeks. Back on track and going down againnow, and as of today going back to the gym regularly. It is really nice to be home and be able to cook for myself! I need to up my daily dairy intake, but I'm well hydrated and eating plenty of fruits and veggies. Most importantly, though, is that I'm feeling great!

Other accomplishments:
• no soda (only four slip-ups this year, all calorie/fat free)
• no chocolate since March 7
• cutting down on my portions when eating out
• eating more salad with less dressing

So I finally gave in and decided to join Weight Watchers. It's the only diet program that has been statistically proven to help lose weight and maintain weight loss, and above and beyond that, my doctor recommened it - she's on it herself. So far, so good!

Current weight: 337.5lbs

Exersize: Does running after kids all last week around town count? It should... child wrangling should be an olympic sport. I could get silver at least!! *g* Other then that... nada... I suck I know... weight back up and I totaly... well Diet? What Diet?! I'm posting because I am going BACK on my diet... and after talking with mom we've decided instead of getting something here around the house, or whatever we're gonna just go with the Gym Membership. So that should help. New insurance has come through... but it was the WRONG name on the card so I have to wait for new cards to look into getting my surgery. But its pomising as the new company is evidentaly the easiest to get it with.

Thats' where we are. I shall update as I'm meant to... from now on promise! *kisses*
